Hey Beemsters! We're super excited for the things this spring has brought us so far and the things that are to come. The last Waiting Room show is availablehere for free download, it was quite an evening with our friends purveyor's of the conscious sound and omnibox. The following weekend we spent 3 days in Kansas and Missouri with our friends Meatpop, Miss Conception, and Japanese Game Show. Then the opposite direction the following week as we went north to Sioux Falls, SD with our friends Fortuitous Funk, we'll be playing with them again this saturday in Vermillion, SD @ Maya Janes with them. Then it's time to head for the mountains of Colorado! We join our friends Mouth from Kansas City, and Space Panda from Denver, CO @ Cervante's other side in Denver Thursday April 19th... This is a dual venue event and tickets will go quickly as Mimosa, Two Fresh and others will be playing on the ballroom side and tickets are good for both venues... The following night we head to Nederland, CO to team up with our friends Smooth Money Gesture at Whistler's Cafe, what better spot to spend April 20th than at 8000 ft.? We then finish off the weekend with a show at Quixote's True Blue in Denver with California Voodoo (Panic cover band), and Deadphish orchestra on Sat. April 21.
We'll be back in Omaha again on May 5, 2012 but not as Blue Martian Tribe. For our wonderful manager Mike Muller and his lovely wife Nikki we will be playing their one year anniversary party as Spy vs. Spy (A tribute to widespread panic), The Jerry Pranksters (Grateful Dead), and Helping Phriendly Orchestra (Phish) will be joining the bill for the event this year @ Slowdown Omaha. This is going to be one heck of a party! 7 hrs. of some of the greatest jam music ever written for less than 20 bucks! The following weekend it's back to the south again as we head to Columbia, MO with other shows TBA. Then it's one of our favorite stops every year FESTY FEST in Lawrence, KS! It's shaping up to be another great festival, we play Friday night May 18th, then head to Tulsa, OK for the first time @ The Treehouse on Boston!
After Festy Fest we'll be taking a short break to recharge the crystals in the UFO and work on some new material and big surprises we'll have in store @ Lovefest in the Midwest 2012 June 29,30, and July 1! We're happy to be back at Dawg Daze of Summer this year as well in Lone Jack, MO July 27, and there will be more announcements coming in quite frequently! All in all things are shaping up pretty well for BMT in 2012. There's big plans in the works for TRIBAL EQUINOX already, as well as late summer and fall tour dates to be announced very soon. We thank you all for the continued support on this journey together.
